At 11 storeys, 'Fyrtornet' is set to become Sweden's tallest wooden office building. In addition to supplying the materials, our Project Team also significantly contributed to the calculation and implementation of its structure and design. It used a model to study the building's movements during wind tunnel tests, including wind-induced acceleration at the top of the building. A structural wind load study was also conducted. Currently, the required glulam elements are in the prefabrication stage. The steel components calculated by our team are already being installed in the factory for a perfect assembly process.
The 6-storey office building ‘The Bond’ in Sydney | Australia is being constructed with binderholz CLT BBS and glulam. The complete prefabrication for this project is also taking place off-site at our plants. Our Engineering Team supports the customer with the structural analysis as well as the assembly.
Recently, the binderholz Project Department also succeeded in completing another outstanding project. Swedish company Parkering Malmö entrusted binderholz with the planning, delivery and assembly of a 6-storey car park. At 18,000 m2 of floor area and six stories it will provide space for 621 cars, a bicycle garage and a mobility pool. Its timber frame is made of binderholz glulam and ceiling elements made of binderholz CLT BBS. The elevator shafts and staircases are also made of solid wood. In addition, the building offers many unique solutions - from innovative rainwater management and solar power systems to a specially developed ramp system, for the first parking garage made of solid wood.
