Over the next two years, a 9-story residential building with 288 residential units and an integrated shopping centre will be built in Cleveland, Ohio, as the largest solid wood project in the United States.
A total of 5,650 m³ of binderholz CLT BBS and 1,500 m³ of binderholz glulam originating from sustainable forest management are used. Construction work on the €130 million project has already begun.
The entire transport of binderholz solid wood elements was organised by rail from the production plants to the port of Amsterdam. From there, the elements will be shipped across the Atlantic and the St. Lawrence River directly to the port of Cleveland.
Thanks Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors for the collaboration.
Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Mahrer congratulates binderholz via video message on this project success in the USA.
