It is characterised by its warm, golden-brown colour. At 212 degrees Celsius, Nordic pine is heated to the core, which significantly increases its resistance to weathering. This makes the wood becomes lighter, harder, more dimensionally stable and is assigns it to durability class 2. The heat treatment eliminates fungi, wood-destroying insects and decomposing micro-organisms. The ecological advantages are equally convincing.
