In the timber industry, the name of Binder stands for tradition and integrity, combined with high-tech and innovation. A workforce of 2,750 operates out of five sites in Austria - Fügen, Jenbach, St. Georgen, Hallein and Unternberg - fives sites in Germany - Kösching, Burgbernheim, Oberrot, Baruth and Wolfegg - and two sites in Finland - Lieksa und Nurmes. The range of solid wood products includes lumber, profiled timber, single-layer and multi-layer edge-glued solid wood panels, glulam beams and binderholz CLT BBS. Any waste tim- ber, resulting as a by-product from production, is processed as densified biofuels, green electricity, multi-purpose panels, moulded pallet blocks and moulded wood pallets. THE WORLD OF BINDERHOLZ No waste owing to 100 percent use of raw materials. The binderholz value creation chain is guided by the no-waste principle. This means there is 100% use of raw material of wood. After their delivery, binderholz processes the trunks nearly completely into sawn timber, solid timber panels, glulam and CLT BBS. Waste timber as production by-products such as bark, cut-off pieces, wood chips, sawdust and shavings are processed into biofuels in the form of pellets and briquettes or converted into climate-neutral thermal energy or green electricity in our proprietary biomass combined heat and power station. Thus valuable resources are preserved and climate-neutral production without waste according to the no-waste principle is made possible.
