Modernised and extended as a timber construction
The existing rooms on the ground floor, in the so-called manor house were extended by a new entrance hall and bathroom. Within the old floorplan, several walls were removed to generate a new division. Moreover, the balconies on the south-west facade were rebuilt and a superstructure using dual supports was added. On the northern facade, the oriels were replaced by balconies, also with a new superstructure. Additionally, the canopy was enlarged to protect the balconies from the weather. On the facade, binderholz larch wood was used.
A single-storey sauna house with entrance hall, showers and toilets was built in the north-west of the manor house. It was erected using binderholz CLT BBS and glulam elements. Combined with our binderholz solid wood panels, we provided the new rooms with a natural and premium surface that invites guests to linger. Perforated solid wood panels in the suspended ceilings hide the required technical elements well and in an unassuming way. The sauna room was lowered, giving it a floor-to-ceiling height of 2.7 m, while entrance hall, toilet and showers are located higher up due to existing floor installations. Adjacent, a garden storage was built and in front of the sauna, a cold water pool 1.36 m deep was installed. The associated deck was once again made from larch.
Spa functions were added to the connecting structure between manor house and parent house. The basement houses three new technology rooms for pool technology, dosing room and ventilation. The existing pool on the ground floor was overhauled and roofed while an additional jacuzzi and quiet room were added. Outside, new lounging areas, a children's pool and an outdoor pool with interior access were created. At 1.36 m deep, the pool is intended for swimming.

No interior construction took place in the parent house. However, the facade was re-coated and the balconies were sand-blasted. In the kitchen area, protruding material in front of the windows was removed and the lighting was converted to a natural light colour. A new bar on the ground floor was connected to the garden as well as the dining hall, creating additional seating in the direction of the garden.
A single-storey technology room was added to the boiler house and a pellet heating system with buffer to the heating system. All new structures were equipped with flat roofs with extensive greening, that harmoniously blend into their surroundings. Rain water will seep on the property. Only very little space was used up for the new structures, the street area remained unchanged and only the roof shape was changed on the existing structures.
